Ann Welch, who studied with, amongst others, the artist Nick Buhalis in New York City and Kingston School of Art, exhibits regularly. She works in many media and commentators note that her way with colour provides her work with a unified character. The expertise she acquired as a dyer, batik artist and fabric designer has influenced her as a colourist, and this is perhaps most evident in her oils and watercolours. Ann also teaches Iconography, and takes commissions for Orthodox Icons.
