West End Studios is an artists co-operative based in Chatham, Kent, It was formed in 1986 when a group of artists decided that it was important to find a space to work where ideas, hopes, enthusiasms and difficulties could be shared.
Now in its 22nd year, it’s founders include John Robinson, Nicholette Goff and Steven Turner.

A great variety of attitudes toward painting, printmaking, sculpture and drawing are represented.
Though the aim is to enable artists to produce the best possible work, there is also a desire to contribute to the community in which they live.
Until August 1986 there was no place in the whole of North Kent for artists to work together in this way: West End Studios is therefore, and will continue to be, an important artistic oasis.
